Pete Fairweather - Ayrshire Artist

  1. Having attended Southampton art college in the mid 1970’s, I went on to work in the design and  print industry for many years. During this time I produced artwork, illustrations and visualisations for a variety of clients.  Most of this work was either in gouache or pen and ink.  I first  worked  with acrylic  paint in about 1980 and have favoured this medium for making paintings ever since.

  2. By  the 1990’s  I was working in  the training and education  sector teaching art, picture framing,  design for print and printing as  Scottish Vocational Qualifications and City & Guilds  to  long-term unemployed and Special Educational Needs adult learners. At about this time I also formed a local art group and started giving talks and tuition to other groups.

  4. Nowadays I work from home making paintings of a wide variety of subjects and very occasionally giving tuition. Prices for commisions start from as little as £40.
